About the Chingon Award

The Chingon Award was established to recognize individuals who, through fearless leadership and visionary work, advocate for justice, equity, and visibility for Latinos. Whether through public service, grassroots organizing, or cultural expression, our honorees reflect the soul of our community and the fight we carry forward every day.

2025 has clearly demonstrated that Latinos are under attack. We need to fight and protect our community. It starts with the resources that will help push voter engagement at the ballot box—making our 2025 Chingon awards critical in creating a space for us to celebrate those who stand firm for community and democracy.
